THE MODERN JAZZ QUARTET MJQ In Hi-Fi (Rare 1955 UK 6-track mono LP on Esquire with 'RVG' etched in the run-outs, recorded in New York on July 2, 1955, at the house of Rudy Van Gelder's parents and originally released on Prestige in the US. Look out for star players Milt Jackson & Connie Kay. Comes housed in a unique front laminated flipback picture sleeve for the British market. Obtained from a one previous owner collection, the sleeve shows some minor age related discolouration around the edges and free of any unsightly rips or tears. The heavyweight vinyl is clean showing the very lightest few cosmetic signs of play only)
