TRACKLISTING AND EXTRA INFORMATION
History:
The sixth release by the Rolling Stones was recorded over a number of sporadic sessions amidst a blur of court appearances, prison sentences, & psychedelic drugs. Arguably one of the Stones' more 'out there' affairs, it received mix reviews at the time, & remains a controversial release in their back catalogue.
Matrix Numbers:
Side 1 - ARL-8126-T2-3K
Side 2 - ARL-8127-T2-3K
As the matrix numbers on this copy contain the T2 identifier, while still being part of the first pressing run, it shows that this was in fact the stereo recording folded down to one channel, so has to technically be classed a 'second' press.
Condition:
The sleeve is graded as Near Mint - a stunning example.
This is the first issue sleeve with the mono text on the bottom right hand corner of the back of the sleeve. Later issues had this printed on the top right hand corner. Also worth noting that if you look closely in the 3D part of the sleeve you can pick out images of Ringo Starr, John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison lurking amongst the psychedelia. Good luck, it took me a while to spot them!
This copy has the original red inner that is usually prone to seam splits, however this one has none and only shows light signs of age.
The vinyl remains in Excellent condition and retains its sheen. There are a light spindle marks around the centre hole, whilst the vinyl has just a few light cosmetic surface scuffs & hairlines, these are usually found FAR worse than this.
Although not mint, this is still a really nice example.
