Electronic brought together Bernard Sumner and Johnny Marr at a moment of transition for both musicians. Formed in the aftermath of The Smiths' dissolution and during a pause in New Order's activity, the project offered a clean break from band dynamics and a chance to work within a looser, studio-led framework. The album blends electronic pop with guitar-led melody, reflecting shared interests rather than compromise. Tracks such as "Getting Away With It" and "Get The Message" balance programmed rhythms with Marr's melodic sensibility, while deeper cuts explore mood and texture without drifting into abstraction. On release, the album was widely acclaimed and has since come to be viewed as a key early-1990s electronic pop record. This reissue is pressed on 140-gram
