THE DOORS The Doors (Groundbreaking 1967 UK first issue 11-track stereo LP on a rough textured orange label with 'Polydor Records Limited' perimeter text, the monumental debut by the legendary American dark rockers. Includes the breakthrough single Light My Fire, Break On Through [To The Other Side] & the beautifully gothic & oedipal The End, fully laminated picture sleeve. This is a lovely one owner copy that was bought new at the time of the release & stored under lock & key eversince. The sleeve is Excellent & remains a stunning example. Being over half a century old, it's really just the ravages of time that have caused a mild ripple effect in the laminate on the back as well as a slight lift to the laminate along the spine, often unavoidable. The vinyl has an incredible deep sheen both sides, unlike anything we've seen before for this title, this is our best copy we've ever found. The vinyl is Excellent & reveals only the very lightest paper scuff & minor spindle mark not affecting play. Highly recommended EKS-74007)

The sleeve is one of the most iconic in rock history, the whole album of course needs little introduction, going two times platinum in the UK alone. The cover is a Polydor pressing with the printed text on the back to confirm. There is some mild ring wear & a little laminate lift along the spine, forgiveable with age, for this otherwise Excellent example.
The orange labels are 'rough' textured & unblemished & show some spindle marks by the centre hole to indicate play, as well it might for such a classic record. 'Polydor Records Limited' is clearly printed at the bottom perimeter both sides.
The vinyl is clean & in VG+/EX- condition, with just the lightest few cosmetic blemishes & the odd minor paper scuff not affecting play. The playback is immense & thus highly recommended & a must own.
