STEVE HACKETT Till We Have Faces (1984 UK 8-track vinyl LP - The original UK Lamborghini Records pressing of Steve Hackett’s adventurous 1984 release, “Till We Have Faces”, an album that finds the ex-Genesis guitarist expanding his sonic palette with bold world music influences and rich rhythmic textures. Recorded partly in Brazil, the record fuses Hackett’s signature guitar artistry with Latin percussion and atmospheric production to striking effect. Highlights include the driving opener ‘Duel’, the hypnotic ‘Matilda Smith-Williams Home For The Aged’, the hauntingly beautiful ‘Let Me Count The Ways’, and the powerful closing track ‘The Rio Connection’. The result is one of Hackett’s most diverse and ambitious works, balancing lyrical songs with evocative instrumentals. The glossy picture sleeve remains in excellent condition with just light edgewear, while the vinyl is clean, bright and barely played.
